This is the ideal place if you are looking for a cove to sunbathe and swim in the beautiful water which is accessed quite easily by a long road that descends from the village of Almoçageme. The scenery is beautiful, surrounded by cliffs, so the beach has already been classified as one of the most beautiful in the world! Praia da Adraga is smaller and therefore a little less crowded, except at weekends, you will find restaurants and cafes and it is accessible for people with reduced mobility.
Praia do Magoito
Situated near the town of Magoito, the large beach offers an impressive setting with a huge steep rock face that juts out. Praia do Magoito is a popular beach that offers a beautiful view of Cabo da Roca and is considered one of the richest iodine areas in Europe. Praia das Maças
It is the most accessible beach if you don't have a car, the tram that leaves from the historical centre of Sintra arrives to this beautiful beach, so it is very popular with families but is worth the diversion because it is of incomparable beauty.
Its name means "beach of apples", whereas before the apples from the orchards of Colares used to fall on the beach. The small town of Praia das Maças has become a welcoming seaside resort with many restaurants and craft shops.
Praia Grande
This beach bears its name well, with its immense expanse of golden sand, it is undoubtedly the largest beach on the coast around Sintra. It is one of the most visited beaches because of its beautiful cliffs, dinosaur fossils and the surf and bodyboard competitions that take place regularly. You will find many cafes and restaurants here and there is easy parking nearby.
Praia da Samarra
To the north of the Sintra Cascais Natural Park, Praia da Samarra is a slightly less well-known beach due to its slightly more difficult access. It is a real paradise for nature lovers, still very well preserved and less frequented with an incredible fauna and flora. The path is a little steep but you won't be disappointed with the trip!
