During your stay on the Isle of Beauty, make a stop in the charming village of Chisà, in Haute-Corse. Ideal for an escape to nature, Chisà is full of pleasant spots to swim. In particular, we recommend the Luvana River. After discovering the village frozen in time of Chisà, you can follow a winding path that will lead you to the Luvana River. This natural pool with its crystalline waters remains relatively unknown to tourists, and can provide you with a perfect moment of precious relaxation during your holidays.
The valley of Ortolo is one of the hidden gems of Corsica. In Vignalella, the Ortolo Valley and its eponymous river are lined by lush vegeatation that never ceases to inspire and delight. A little less crowded than those of Restonica, this wonderful series of craggy natural pools on the river Tavignano, near Corte, offer those looking for quiet walk on a secluded route along the length of the river the perfect opportunity. Following the route from the town of Corte will take you past the old bridge at Russulinu and alongside some magnificent high mountains and wonderful leafy vistas before rewarding you with a dip in the gorges to escape the summer heat.
Located in southern Corsica, the river Cavu is an alternative to the beaches that are overrun by tourists in summer. Only 30 minutes drive from Porto-Vecchio, this natural pool offers a secluded haven for all lovers of nature. At the beginning of the tour, take a moment to admire the sublime waterfall of Pisciarone. At the end of the path, you will come across the Cavu River, which offers picturesque natural basins. If you're a nature lover, then head to the Aïtone forest! This forest, which extends over 4000 hectares, will allow you to discover on of the most unique of the natural landscapes of the Isle of Beauty, which is made up of a mix of chestnut trees and the famous laricio pines.
