A historic city
Old fortified city proudly showing its picturesque remparts, majestuous palaces of the Renaissance and houses with Gothic houses, we often visit Poreč for its
cultural and historic heritage, still very present today. One of the most symbolic memory of this past is the Euphrasian Basilica of Poreč. Catholic church located in the historic center of the city, it is listed among Unesco’s world heritage since 1997 for its architecture and singularity. History lovers will thus fall under the spell of this charming building and its unique stunning interior. Thus, mosaics constitute the main attraction of the Basilica. Also, know that 300 wooden steps will allow you to climb to the top and admire a vue over 360 degrees, if you would like to get some altitude!

The Roman House of the 13th century: Built on 3 floors with twin windows, a wooden balcony and an exterior stair, its charm lies in its authenticity, which will convince all old art lovers.
Museo Civico di Parenzo: The museum of Poreč is the meeting of two museums that used to exist separated from each other: the Regional Museum of Istria, built in 1884, and the City Museum of Arts and History, built in 1926. You will thus find there a mix of the collection of these two museums, which today aims to protect and keep on researching about the cultural heritage of Poreč.
Neptun Temple: Built in Poreč on the 1rst century, it is the biggest temple in Istria and is fully dedicated to Neptune, god of the sea. With only a part of the walls and foundations that remain today, the place is nevertheless cult, and a
must-see for all travelers.
