Dordogne is a treasure of natural beauty and culture, offering breathtaking views and experiences for every taste. Nestled in southwest France, the region is known for its green valleys, small medieval villages, and historic landmarks. From your holiday home, you’ll have easy access to pretty towns like Sarlat-la-Canéda, famous for its cobbled streets, or Beynac-et-Cazenac, with its stunning cliffside castle overlooking the Dordogne River. Explore bustling markets, uncover the region’s rich history at the Château de Castelnaud, or wander through the medieval village of La Roque-Gageac.
For nature lovers, the Dordogne offers endless adventures, from canoeing along serene rivers to hiking lush forests or cycling past picturesque sunflower fields. Food enthusiasts will delight in the region's specialties—indulge in local foie gras, earthy truffles, and a glass of Bergerac wine as you relax in the comfort of your villa.
Brantôme is a beautiful town 15 minutes from the Chateau de Chanet. We had glorious meals at both Le Jardin des chouchoux and Moulin du Roc. Moulin de l’abbaye also looks amazing but it is very busy, so book a table in advance.
