Villa Pistoia

In summary

Villa Pistoia is a typical historical Tuscan villa built in the second half of the 18th century over 18 acres of wood and olive groves, and has an exclusive swimming pool. Located on the last western slopes of Mount Albano. Due to the owners' passion for antique, the villa is mainly furnished with pieces acquired from antique dealers, fairs or auction sales. You will find some of the most peculiar pieces, such as the walk-in wardrobes in two of the bedrooms, an Empire wardrobe and chest of drawers, and a 17th century plaque from a Florence Covent adorning the door of the largest lounge room.  

The villa was originally consisting of two farm houses joined together, and was renovated by the owners, using exclusively materials recovered from the surrounding area and period, guarantying a structure respecting the norms of bio-architecture.

 
Indoors

• Ground floor

The ground floor of the villa consists of a dining room for 8 people, a cosy lounge room with an antique fireplace, 2 divans, a double sofa bed and a card table with 4 chairs. A second lounge room is present on the same floor, benefitting of two divans and a double faced fireplace leading to a lounge/dining room with a table for 16.
The ground floor possesses two kitchens, a first one, well equipped and spacious enough to accommodate up to 6 persons, and a second one, which is the main kitchen, with a table for 8, equipped with a fireplace and a pizza oven.
 
You will also find on this floor two downstairs bathrooms, both of them equipped with Jacuzzi showers;
TV room with a divan bed for 2, armchairs etc., a billiard room with two armchairs and a table, and a laundry room.
 

• Second floor

The second floor, to which you will have access through two staircases, is where the sleeping quarters can be found. This floor consists of four colour themed bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and two additional bedrooms and their shared bathroom.
 
The Yellow bedroom is a double bedroom benefitting of a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi hydro massage bath and shower. It also has a walk-in wardrobe, and is furnished with an antique chest, a chest of drawers, two armchairs, and a small table.
 
The Green bedroom and the Pink bedroom, similarly to the Yellow bedroom, are both double bedrooms with king-size bed, and en suite bathrooms with Jacuzzi showers, walk-in wardrobes and chests of drawers.
 
The Blue bedroom is also a double bedroom with a king-size bed, equipped with a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and an en suite bathroom with shower Jacuzzi, benefiting of a balcony that can be reached through a spiral staircase. 
 
The additional bedrooms consist of a triple bedroom with 3 single beds, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers; and another bedroom with a single bed, a built-in wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. The two bedrooms share a bathroom, which is equipped with a Jacuzzi bath and shower.
 

• Intermediate floor - the Loft

Above the large dining room, reachable by a staircase, you will find a quiet bedroom with lovely views.
The bedroom is mainly decorated with antique furniture, with two singles beds, which bed heads are made of 18th century wrought iron; a 19th century Piemonte wardrobe, an English desk from the same period, and a Tuscan chest of drawers. The bathroom is situated downstairs.
 

Outdoors

The external walls of the villa are covered with typical local stones, respecting the original aspect of the building which was constructed 200 years ago. On the property, another villa can be found. It is situated approximately 100 meters away from the main villa and has a garden and a swimming pool. To enjoy your holidays with all your family and friends, please note that you can rent both villas together.
 
The surrounding of the residence consist of views of typical Tuscan countryside, with hills, olive groves, woods of chestnuts and oak trees. The area is quiet and peaceful, the few cars passing belonging to the habitants and there is also another road with no outlet.


Swimming pool

Villa Pistoia has an exclusive pool measuring 6 x 12 meters with a deft of 1.35 meters, situated on a natural terrace which offers a wide view of the valley below. It is an overflow pool, including a hydro massage and swim jet system, a night light system, and a cleaning system. Along the pool, you will also find a changing room with shower and WC. 
It is open from 17th April to 11th October
 

Equipments

Each room is equipped with heating and air conditioning units, and the possibility of summing up the electricity and gas consumption. The exclusive perimeter and the house alarm connected to the police via radio and telephone guaranty the total security and privacy of the villa, and the code numbers and passwords vary weekly. The instructions are to be found on the premises.
 

Service and staff

You can enjoy lunch or dinner in the garden “al fresco” while a cook will prepare dishes for you. There is the possibility for you to have live music for any kind of party, a great duo being available and playing all kind of music from the 70’s and 80’s, and you will have the opportunity to choose within a large range of rhythms for dancing. The villa also offers the option of background music lo liven up your evening, happy hour, dinner etc.
