When Emmanuelle and her partner met, their families joined together to become a blended family. Both Parisians and parents of 2 children, they were looking for a holiday destination that would enable all 6 of them to get together, or even 12 when you add their children's friends! So they fell in love with this incredible house in the heights of Sainte-Maxime. The villa boasts a magnificent 180-degree view over the entire valley, the Estérel Gulf and the sea, and is surrounded by a beautiful 1800m2 garden planted with umbrella pines and tropical plants.
'When we visited this house, which was a bit old-fashioned, we immediately felt that it had great potential. We completely renovated it, adding 2 bedrooms to make 5 total, each with its own bathroom and terrace. We also landscaped the patio and built the infinity swimming pool overlooking the valley. We made it the house of our dreams!'
Ideal for large groups who enjoy being together as well as having their privacy, this sumptuous residence embodies elegance and refinement at its very best. Nestled in an enchanting setting, this beautiful property is surrounded by a large, lush Mediterranean and exotic garden with an infinity pool and breathtaking views. The villa offers an unrivalled experience for guests seeking both charm and cosiness. Its decor harmoniously blends traditional and contemporary elements to create an atmosphere that is both timeless and modern. Every detail has been designed to offer unrivalled comfort. The spacious living areas are bathed in natural light and tastefully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming ambience.
Having spent 20 years living abroad as expatriates and travelling extensively, Emmanuelle and her partner have tastefully decorated their villa with objects and furniture brought back from their travels. They also have a keen eye for interior design. Ever since they bought their oasis of calm, they've been constantly enhancing it with new finds they've picked up here and there.
'We've put a lot of our favourite objects and furniture in the house. They come from India, Italy and Asia, but also from home decor shops in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and Woodstock Imports, a big antique shop in Fréjus which sells a lot of Asian furniture. And every time we return from our travels, we continue to spend a lot of time hunting for antiques and bargains around the region!'
The couple immediately liked the layout of the villa, with its bedrooms extending from the communal areas in a star-shaped pattern. They also appreciated its perfect location in the seaside town of Sainte Maxime, in the peaceful Sémaphore district within walking distance of the village centre. Each room has its own terrace, bathroom and toilet, giving everyone a private space. The large indoor living room and outdoor terrace, with its giant table, garden furniture and deckchairs, is a great place to meet up. Whether you want to relax by the pool, enjoy a meal al fresco in the outdoor dining area, or simply soak up the natural beauty that surrounds you, Villa Prima Donna offers an idyllic setting for every moment of your stay.
'It was essential for us that our children do not have to use any means of transport when they go out at night. Another part of our criteria was that, as a large family, we can do everything on foot, and that the beaches and village centre are just a 10-minute walk away. With the villa's 1800m2 garden, infinity pool and large communal areas, there's never a dull moment for the children. But everyone can have a moment of privacy in their own room, which is very important when there are so many of us on holiday together!'
'Coralie is a gem. She's in charge of welcoming our guests and she's the one to whom they can ask anything during their stay. Whether it's arranging for the villa to be cleaned, finding a home chef or a baby-sitter, organising an excursion, a reception or a tasting in the nearby vineyards, and even doing food shopping. As a native of the region, she knows all the best restaurants, shops and experiences!'
