Elafonisi Beach

Elafonisi Beach in Crete has become a popular attraction for nature lovers and hikers. Throughout Elafonisi's area, one can find numerous trails and hiking routes to submerge oneself in absolutely natural and wild beauty. Its beautiful coves are a real feast for the senses, but what most stands out about this beach is its stunning coral pink sands contrasted with its crystal clear waters. Given the beach's remote location on the island, one can savour a real sense of wilderness, especially in the offseason.

Balos Beach

Balos is one of the most photographed destinations in Grece. Not only does the area boast a magnificent beach but also a stunning turquoise lagoon. Balos is incredibly exotic due to this fusion of water wonders that capture many visitors' imagination. During the summer, tourists who want to enjoy a bit of beach fun in Balos often arrive by ferry from the port of Kissamos. Vai Beach

What's more, be prepared to hear many legends surrounding the origins of Vai's palm-tree forests. One of which tells the story of how some Arab pirates that loved eating dates arrived at Vai's shore and threw loads of seeds to the ground, where part of the beach eventually grew into a 6,000-palm-tree forest.

Tripetra Beach

Tripetra beach is distinguished by its three imposing rocks looming over the azure waters of Tripetra. The beach is divided into two areas, around which one can find the three impressive cliffs. These geological formations also boast some stunning caves that people can visit to admire their enigmatic beauty. This beach is also one of the best places in Crete to admire magnificent sunsets. This destination is ideal for enjoying some peace, relaxation, and utmost privacy.

Kommos Beach

Kommos Beach is a sandy gravel beach surrounded by stunningly imposing cliffs. It is one of Crete's best beaches for turtle spotting, as they often reach the beach to lay their eggs on its sands from May to September. One can indulge its wild nature without any buildings as far as the eye can reach, given the whole area is environmentally protected.

Xerocambos Beach
