An increasingly popular destination for tourists from all over the world, Bali, a small island in Indonesia is as big as Savoie and is an ideal place for an unique summer holiday with friends and family. When you go to Bali, expect a trip out of the ordinary, rich in adventure and spectacular activities. If you hesitate to go there because you don't know much about this small Indonesian paradise, let us guide you from A to Z to guarantee you an unforgettable trip without any unpleasant surprises.
Although traveling to Asia requires several formalities, traveling in Indonesia is easier than you might think. The only requirements include an up-to-date passport that is still valid 6 months after the date of return and a visa. The latter is free of charge and is valid for 30 days on the territory. For a trip exceeding this duration, it is very simple to renew your tourist visa on the spot, at a cost of 40 euros. No vaccinations are compulsory, although some are recommended.
Bali's climate is tropical, which means that it is hot all year round. There are however 2 seasons in Bali: the dry season and the rainy season. The dry season, from April to October is the period often chosen by tourists, so Villanovo recommends you go there in May or June, before the mass of visitors land on the island. The rainy season, from November to March, is far from the clichés of flooding that you might expect. Far from it, there is certainly more humidity and rain, but Bali is still pleasant enough to visit.
The 7,760 miles that separates the UK from Bali is covered by a plane journey that takes about 15 hours, with one change. But here's good news: the plane tickets are all more affordable than you might think. Count between 500-700 pounds for a return ticket, comparing prices on comparison sites such as Skyscanner.
At Villanovo, our priority is to offer you luxury and comfortable villas where you can feel at home away from home. Our selection of bali villas is wide, with criteria to suit all tastes.
