Granada

Granada

Situated in the heart of the plains, Granada is unmissable during a stay in Andalusia. Well known for its famous Alhambra Palace, Granada has many other surprises in store for you! The Albaicín district located on the hill opposite the Alhambra is one of the most atypical places in Granada where you will find the Arab influence of its past, especially in the craft shops that resemble souks. The very entrance of this neighbourhood deserves your attention, where you will observe the Puertas de las murallas. Many other sites await you in this district such as the Plaza Nueva, the church of Santa Ana or the perfectly preserved Arab baths. To the north-east of the Albaicín district, you will discover Sacromonte, an artistic district which is notably the highest point in Granada offering a breathtaking view of the region. This district is home to cave cellars and the city's most beautiful flamenco shows. Finally, Granada's cathedral and royal chapel are among the must-see sites. A real jewel, the cathedral with its different architectural styles, but also its sumptuous interior parts are not to be missed under any circumstances.

Cordoba

Cordoba

The historic city of Cordoba is located in the heart of Andalusia. Former crossroads of the Muslim, Christian and Jewish religions, Cordoba has a unique cultural heritage that can be found in its many monuments. Among these wonders, we find the Córdoba Cathedral Mosque, also called Mezquita, a true testimony of the religious mix that the city has known. Former residence of the Catholic Kings, the Alcázar is surrounded by four towers, from the top of one of which you can enjoy a magnificent view. The Alcázar is also a must-see in Cordoba. Right next to the Alcázar you will find the magnificent royal stables where the Andalusian breed of horses was born. We then head towards the Jewish quarters of Juderia through the Almodovar Gate before entering the historic centre of Cordoba. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you won't be disappointed by the charm of the centre with its white, flower-filled streets, which is home to many other sites to visit. Finally, you won't be able to leave Córdoba without tasting a delicious Salmorojo, the city's speciality, which is a cold soup of tomatoes, garlic and olive oil with small pieces of Serrano ham and eggs.

Malaga

Malaga

Both a dynamic seaside resort and a cultural city par excellence, Malaga is the perfect compromise for a successful holiday. In fact, in recent years many contemporary buildings, including museums, have been built, bringing a great breath of modernity to the city. Among these are the Pablo Picasso museum, the El Cubo museum or the Pompidou cultural centre where you will find magnificent works by Frida Khalo. At the same time, you will discover sumptuous historical monuments such as the Alcazaba, the former fortress of the city and residence of the Muslim governors. The heights of the site also offer a breathtaking view of the sea, while gardens and fountains surround the palace. Just a few steps away you will find Gibralfaro Castle, which offers one of the most beautiful views of the city. The province of Málaga also has one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, Ronda la Vieja, which is made up of an ancient theatre and a Roman city that we recommend you visit. Finally, Málaga is famous for its beaches and ideal climate. There is a wide choice of beaches to choose from, including La Malagueta beach, El Palo beach and San Andrés beach.

Seville

Seville

The fourth-largest city in Spain, Seville is located in the heart of an agricultural region and is an emblematic city of Andalusia. A true cultural destination, Seville also has many sites that we believe are not to be missed if you are fond of history and Hispanic culture. Start your discovery of the city with its majestic Gothic cathedral, which remains one of the largest in the world and is home to many works of art. The Giralda, which is the bell tower of the cathedral, can also be visited for an exceptional view of the city. Then continue your visits to the Alcázar de Sevilla and its gardens which are a magnificent testimony to the mixed religions such as Islam and Christianity that have occupied the site. The Alcázar is located right next to the cathedral and is the residence of the King of Spain when he is visiting Seville. Still in the same area of the city, we recommend you make a detour to the Archive of the Indies, whose architecture, both inside and out, is breathtaking. You won't be able to leave Seville without having tasted tapas to the sound of flamenco in the lively streets of the city, but also without having taken a look at the huge bullring in Seville.

Cádiz

Cádiz

To discover Cádiz is to immerse yourself in a historic port city with undeniable charm. The historic centre with its whitewashed houses, impressive monuments and beautiful beaches awaits you for an unforgettable excursion. The city was the port of choice for American ships. Like other Andalusian cities, Cádiz has a magnificent cathedral with a golden dome and you enter the city through the Puerta de Tierra dug into the city walls. The Plaza de San Juan de Dios is also a must-see in the city, which has long hosted the market thanks to its proximity to the port and from which you can see the San Juan de Dios church and the city hall. This square is ideal for a break in the sun with a coffee. Then head to the Roman Theatre of Cádiz, the oldest Roman theatre in Spain, which is free to visit. The Central Mercado will offer you something to eat while you discover the city's culinary specialities. Finish your tour with a visit to the Tavira Tower, wherefrom it’s top you can see the entire Bay of Cádiz, as well as the city's parks and the San Sebastian Castle, before finally relaxing on the golden beach of La Caleta.
