El Tintero - Málaga

If there's one restaurant in Malaga that about anyone in Andalusia knows about, that is the famous El Tintero. Located at the end of the promenade of the "El Palo" area in Malaga, this restaurant isn't a cookie-cutter beachfront bar-- it's a one-of-a-kind restaurant. Guests will witness how waiters and waitresses walk up and down the terrace with various freshly cooked quality fish and seafood dishes lined up elegantly on their forearms, voicing out the dishes as an auction for customers to pick out on-the-go. Here, there's no such thing as waiting for the waiter to take your order and wait patiently for your meal. Fish and seafood dishes are constantly being prepared, and you can eat about anything. Once you eye the various plates shown by the sauntering waiters, pick as many as you want. At the end of your meal, waiters count the number of empty dishes on your table and charge you per plate. Their fixed price is 6€. Eating at El Tintero is a unique experience that has to be lived to be told. However, if you fancied a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, this beachfront restaurant might not be for you. But if you want to experience a bubbly and lively "malagueño" atmosphere filled with locals, one of the most delicious and best-prepared seafood and fish in Malaga in a unique restaurant concept and a lovely beach setting, then El Tintero awaits you.
