Soaring above Ibiza Town (Eivissa), the old town of Dalt Vila is rich in history and culture. The 16th-century walled city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its majestic ramparts, including the famous fortified portal, Ses Taules. Wander the cobblestone streets, lined with beautiful churches, quaint shops, and museums. Dalt Vila, actually has many art galleries, a leftover as its standing as an artists' refuge during the Spanish Civil War. Thanks to its elevated perch, the town of Ibiza provides a prime vantage point above the glittering marina and Mediterranean Sea.
Foodies will want to chart their course for the village of Santa Eulalia. Known as the island's gastronomic centre, the seaside town has many restaurants that serve the food of the Balearic Islands. The inland town also has plenty of perfect spots for tasting local food, best savoured on the sun-kissed terraces.
A 15-minute drive from Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga is a scenic bay surrounded by pine trees. The sandy beaches are one of the best areas for families, with plenty of action like water sports, a playground, and a mini-amusement park for little ones. Nearby Roca Llisa is an exclusive residential area that is beloved by golfers and those seeking a tranquil holiday.
