In summary
The Castello Buoncovento is a villa of prestige situated within a 600 hectare estate on the hills of the Val d'Orcia, nestled between Siena and Montalcino. This place, heavy with history, has been recognized by UNESCO and considered as a key reference point for the area. It is surrounded by a park of oak and holm oak trees and is reached along an avenue completely adorned with cypress trees. Also, mainly consisting of a 16th century villa and a sturdy tower, the Castello Buoncovento has been put under conservative renovation work by the owners in order to meet modern day requirements.

Room 3 - Grey :
Room, 2nd floor. This bedroom has 1 double bed 150 cm. Bathroom ensuite, shared, with walk-in shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, stove.
Room 4 - Lavinia :
Room, 1st floor. This bedroom has 2 twin beds 80 cm configurable as a double bed. Bathroom ensuite, with shower, bidet. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, stove.
Room 5 - Sofia :
Room, 2nd floor. This bedroom has 1 double bed 160 cm. Bathroom ensuite, with bathtub with shower head, bidet. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, stove, office area.
Room 6 - Zeno :
Room, 2nd floor. This bedroom has 2 twin beds configurable as a double bed. Bathroom shared, with bathtub, shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also stove, office table.
Room 7 - Violante :
Room, 3rd floor. This bedroom has 1 double bed King size. Bathroom shared, with bathtub with shower head, bidet. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, stove.
Room 8 - Tower :
Room, 3rd floor. This bedroom has 2 double bed 120 cm. Bathroom ensuite, with bathtub with shower head, bidet. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, fireplace, living area, TV.
Indoors
The castle is divided in four main areas: the ground floor, the first floor, the second floor, and the tower.
The ground floor leads you through a spacious entrance where you will find a stone fireplace and a small lounge room with sofas and a marble fireplace; on the same floor there is also a dining room with a table for sixteen guests, a guest bathroom and a habitable kitchen equipped with a breakfast table, an oven, a dishwasher and an American-style fridge.
The first floor is home to a spacious living room with sofas and period furnishings, a small lounge with a fireplace and a TV.
The second floor will lead you to a living room/study. You will also find the laundry room which has two washing machines
The tower mainly consists of a large panoramic living room with TV and a laundry room. From the tower, it is possible to admire a 360° view of the whole Orcia valley, from Siena to Montalcino to Mount Amiata.
All the bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and all the bathrooms and the kitchen have been designed to respect their former characteristics, mixing them with modern accessories and functional elements.
Adjacent to the castle there is an additional building with a gym equipped with a treadmill, exercise bikes and other gym equipments.
Outdoors
Outside the house, you will find a private pool surrounded by sunbeds and deckchairs and equipped with a shower. In the shadier areas of the park surrounding the residence, there are elegant little lounges. And an open air dining area has been created with a long table for sixteen people.
The pool is not heated and opens in Mid May.
Service and staff
The domestic staff resides in an area reserved for them in the villa. Their service includes cleaning and breakfast everyday.
Note
- Cost of food for dinner and eventual shopping requested by the hosts are not included in the price.
- Children are welcome, however small children (under 4) must have a nanny care or a babysitter with them.
- Buses are not permitted on the property.
