The Atlantic coast is known as Cape Town's 'Riviera', and stretches from the V&A waterfront on the north side of Table Mountain to Hout Bay.
This popular strip includes the bustling centre of Green Point, and the Sea Point promenade, which runs along the waterfront from Mouille Point to the end of Sea Point.

Cape Point is the meeting point of the cold Benguela Current on the west coast and the warm Agulhus Current on the east coast. It also boasts one of the highest cliffs in the world, at 249m above sea level. The peninsula consists of Hout Bay, Chapman's Peak Drive, Noordhoek, Kommetjie, Scarborough, Cape Point, Simon's Town, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, St James and Muizenburg.
Must-see experiences abound here, with Boulder Beach and its African penguin colony topping the list. Be sure to grab some fish and chips at Kalky's in Kalk Bay harbour or simply take a stroll along Noordhoek Beach - a beautiful stretch of white sand just a short drive from Chapman's Peak on the Noordhoek side.
